1. How do I enrol?

You fill in the application form, submit/fax/email/post it back to us and pay the fees for your chosen course.

2. How do I pay for my course from abroad?

You can transfer the payment directly into our bank account (details at the bottom of the application form). You can also pay by Credit Card. Please note that there is a Credit Card surcharge of 3%. If you want to pay by credit card, please fax us a letter of authorisation with the card holder's name and address, and the card number and expiry date. The letter of authorisation must be signed by the card holder. Our fax number is +44 20 7637 7291.

3. When can I start?

You can start on any Monday, unless you are an Absolute Beginner (we have specific starting dates for Absolute Beginners, please ask).

4. What exams can I take?

You can take the Cambridge Preliminary Test Exam (held several times a year), the Cambridge First Certificate Exam (held in March, June or December), the Cambridge Advanced (March, June and December) and the Cambridge Proficiency Exams (held in June and December).

If you attend the Business English classes you can take the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Exam.

If you want to take an exam, you will need to pay an exam fee of approximately £95.00.

5. What happens if my visa is refused?

You may claim a refund of the tuition fees paid (less £100.00 administrative charges) provided the original copy of the Letter of Refusal from the British Embassy is sent to us by post, together with the original copy of the Certificate of Enrolment issued by the college.

6. What do I do if I need accommodation?

Our college can arrange accommodation for you. You will have to send a deposit of two weeks' rent together with £15.00 finding fee. You will lose the deposit if you do not cancel at least 10 days before your planned arrival.

Most accommodation is based in Zone 2, 3 or 4 (30 to 40 minutes from the college by public transport).

7. Do I have to take out insurance?

We recommend taking out insurance against those little accidents which can ruin your holiday. The school can offer an insurance policy (Student Protection Plan) which covers medical insurance, cancelled course, lost possessions, emergency return home and personal accident. If you are interested, please contact us.

8. Does the college have a Library, Listening Centre, etc?

The college has a Library and Listening Centre. They can be used free of charge during opening hours.

There is also a common room where you can relax and meet other students.

You are required to buy a textbook for each course level you will be attending. The prices vary from £15.00 - £18.00.

10. What is the number of students in a class?

At present the average number of students attending a class is 16 with a maximum of 22. Generally morning classes are more popular and therefore bigger than afternoon classes.

11. Is Princes College accredited?

We are accredited by the Association of British Language Schools (ABLS). To gain membership of ABLS, our college passed a thorough inspection process that covered academic standards, resources and student welfare.

The UK Home Office Immigration and Nationality Directorate produced guidelines identifying the Association of British Language Schools (ABLS) as one of the three main bodies accrediting bona fide private education institutions in the UK. Princes College is on the Register of Education Providers kept by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES).
