College Facilities
Outside class times you can use our self-study and listening centre
(equipped with tape recorders and a computer) or our library. You
will be able to choose the language area you wish to work on: pronunciation,
grammar, vocabulary, listening, examination practice, reading and
literature & poetry.
There is a common room at Princes College where you can relax and
meet other students. The college has two computers connected to
the Internet through a broadband line. Students can use them to
check and send emails free of charge.

Teachers
All our teachers are native English speakers with experience and
qualifications in teaching English as a foreign language. Modern
methods and techniques used by our teachers help students learn
the language quickly and efficiently. As we stress the importance
of the teacher-student relationship, our teachers are carefully
selected and monitored.

Social Programme
|
 |

|
Our social programme boasts weekly coach trips throughout the year
to all the famous beauty spots and historical places in the UK.
There are also visits to pubs, discos, theatres and cinemas. Swimming,
table tennis and badminton are available at the university sports
centre nearby.
|
|
London has a great music scene with regular modern and classical
concerts, and of course Camden, with its markets and clubs, is close
by.
We arrange our own party every term, so you can meet all students
at Princes College.
In July and August we run a well-attended weekly social programme
for both summer and long term students which includes regular London
walks, boat trips and visits to museums, galleries, parks and other
places of interest.
Please note that you may have to pay for some of the social activities, such as theatre trips (approximately £20.00), school parties (approximately £5.00) and weekend day trips (prices start from £50.00).

Student Visas
Our daytime (15 hours a week) classes qualify as full-time courses
of study in the UK.
Princes College is accredited by the British Council and a member of English UK, the world's leading language teaching association. Princes College is on the Tier 4 Register of Sponsors kept by the UK Border Agency.
The Certificate of Enrolment, required for the visa application, is issued by the College on payment of full fees.
If you need a student visa to come to the UK and you want to apply after 01/04/2009 for a course longer than 6 months, you will have to provide the college with a scanned copy of your passport (the page with your photograph and personal details). You will also need to send us documentary evidence that you have already studied English and that you are not a beginner. Below are some examples of the documents you can send us:
- Secondary school attendance record or leaving certificate showing that you had English classes for a number of years.
- Internationally-recognised certificate in English (for example Cambridge KET, PET, etc.).
- Attendance certificate from any English classes you attended in your country.
- College/University certificate showing your achievement in an English course.
- A reference from an appropriately qualified person/tutor (for example your English teacher at university or college, or your private tutor) stating your level of English. This reference must include the referee’s full contact details.
The college does not need the original copies of the documents. They can be faxed to us or scanned and sent to us by email. However, the embassy will require the original copies. Please contact us by email if you have any more questions.
Before enrolling at Princes College, we strongly advise you to check the full immigration requirements at www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/studyingintheuk.
